HRT will have to wait until the final pre-season test to get its new car on track after failing two of the FIA's mandatory crash tests.

The team had been hoping to debut its 2012 contender at the next test in Barcelona, but revealed on Twitter that it would have to wait a little longer.

"14 crash tests passed," the team said. "Chassis approved but the two that failed (by minor margin) prevent us to have the car ready for the first Barcelona test."

Last year's HRT did not make its debut until the first round of the championship in Australia where it failed to qualify. The team is now under different ownership and has overhauled its staff, including the addition of Pedro de la Rosa as one of its drivers.

Last year's F111 made an appearance at the first two days of the Jerez test earlier this week, but the team said it was undecided as to whether it would take the car to the first Barcelona test as a substitute.
