HRT is aiming to run its new car - the F112 - on the final day of the pre-season test in Barcelona on Sunday.

The team had been aiming to debut the new car at the second test but failed to pass all of the FIA crash tests in time. Pedro de la Rosa revealed at the FOTA Fans Forum that the team would be aiming to run this weekend, and could use its filming day to test the car on Monday if required as well.

"The truth is that, today, the goal is to try to debut on Sunday," de la Rosa said. "If not, we would have the possibility to do a test on Monday ... We are in the construction phase of the car and it would be great to have it ready for Sunday."

De la Rosa added that the new car had been designed to incorporate KERS, and while it would not be running it at the start of the season it may integrate the technology later in the year.

"It is designed to use it, but the team has decided to start the season without [KERS]."
