Sakon Yamamoto remains confident that he will get further opportunities to drive for HRT after this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Japanese driver first filled in for Bruno Senna at the British Grand Prix, and has since replaced Karun Chandhok at the German and Hungarian Grands Prix.

But with Chandhok set to return and test driver Christian Klien also in the running for drives in the second half of the season, Yamamoto's track time could now be limited.

"I heard now the team has four drivers and the team is going to decide race by race who is going to drive - from a performance side," said Yamamoto. "So far I have a shown a good performance at Silverstone and Hockenheim, so now I have another chance to drive. So I am very happy and appreciate it for the team. I am pretty positive to keep my concentration on the job and 100 per cent do my best, and it will be my best.

"I believe that if I can do a good race and a good result then I am very positive to be continuing."

Yamamoto has been outqualified by his team-mate in both races so far, but remains adamant that he has earned the race seat on merit rather than because of his financial backing.

"Actually it is not [about sponsorship]," he said. "It's my performance on the race track."
