Romain Grosjean says there is no one thing he has changed that is behind his recent run of impressive form.

Having endured a tough 2012 - including getting a one-race ban for triggering a crash at Monza - Grosjean had a quiet start to this season before coming to the fore in recent races with three consecutive podium finishes. Grosjean attributed some of the success to the car improving, but said it has been quite a while that he's felt strong even if results haven't shown it.

"I don't think there is any particular key to be honest," Grosjean said. "I would like to point to things like changes, but the work started a year ago and trying to improve myself day after day. The start of the season was poor; it's a bit of a shame when you look at what we are capable of doing right now, but then since we put the car back in place it's been getting better and better.

"I was a bit unlucky before Germany and then in Germany things turned out well together. Since then we've had very, very good races and the car is doing well, so hopefully that's going to be the case until the end of the season."

Grosjean added that he's confident of extending his run of podiums in Abu Dhabi.

"We have had a good baseline for a few races now and hopefully it's going to be the case here again. We will do our best, do our work, try to do everything right - with a better qualifying than last weekend - and then from there try to achieve our best result possible."
