Lotus misses first day of testing

Lotus' 2015 car, the E23, is expected to arrive in Jerez on Sunday after the team missed the first day of testing in Jerez.

Lotus team trucks were present in the paddock on Sunday morning but there was no sign of the car as the first day got underway at 9:00. However, at 10:40 the team confirmed that the car was being transported and would arrive later in the day.

E23 is in the air on its way to Jerez after firing up in Enstone yesterday, arrival expected later today #ExpectationOverload

The E23 is the first Lotus to be powered by Mercedes and carries the hopes of Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado this year. After a dramatic fall from the front to the rear of the grid in 2014, the team has higher hopes this year.
