Just like his team-mate Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton has also made the long-haul return flight to Europe to work on the McLaren simulator after last weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix.

Both McLaren drivers have shunned a full week's holiday in the Far East between Malaysia and China to head back to the McLaren Technology Centre [MTC] in Woking for simulator runs. According to reports in the British press, Hamilton will spend a day at the factory before heading to his Geneva home to recuperate and relax ahead of his long-haul flight out to Shanghai.

Button has already completed his time in the simulator, after admitted he wanted to address problems with the balance of his MP4-25 that he experienced in Malaysia. He kept his fans up-to-date with his globetrotting by writing on his Twitter page: "Arrived in Tokyo after a day at MTC on the sim. Looking for a big haul of points in China!"

Meanwhile, Force India's Tonio Liuzzi and Toro Rosso driver Sebastien Buemi have also been getting some extra time in their respective teams' simulators ahead of the next race.
