McLaren has confirmed that its new car has passed its final crash tests ahead of its launch on Friday.

Concerns about the team's presence at the first test in Jerez were raised when it emerged last week that MP4-29 had not passed its crash tests. However, just three days before the car is set to be launched online, the team took to Twitter to confirm it had passed.

Cars that have not passed the FIA's mandatory FIA crash tests are not allowed to test or race, so the news is crucial ahead of the start of testing in Jerez next week.
