McLaren has confirmed Fernando Alonso will debut the new McLaren-Honda at the first winter test in Jerez.

McLaren is set to unveil its MP4-30 on next Thursday, just three days before testing begins in Spain on February 1. It will be the official start of the team's renewed partnership with Honda and the beginning of Alonso's second stint at the team after joining from Ferrari last year.

A week ahead of the launch McLaren tweeted its plans for Jerez, with Alonso set to get behind the wheel on the first and third day, with the retained Jenson Button taking over for the other two days.
