Rosberg not changing approach in Monaco
Nico Rosberg says he sees no reason to adapt his mentality in Monaco despite relinquishing the championship lead to team-mate Lewis Hamilton last time out.
Rosberg has finished second to Hamilton at each of the last four races, though he crossed just 0.6s behind in Barcelona. Hamilton even admitted the other Mercedes was too close for comfort in Spain and Rosberg insists he is within striking distance of the top step.
"It's been a tough battle up until now and I expect it to continue like that", Rosberg said. "Of course he's had the result rhythm in the last couple of races but it's been close and I just need a tiny bit to turn it around and I will start trying to do that in Monaco."
Despite claiming just one pole to Hamilton's four this season, Rosberg is not daunted by the task facing him on Saturday.
"Three of those qualifying were in the wet, but in the dry it's 1-1 and it's supposed to be dry on Saturday so I'm confident I can make it happen so I'm not changing my approach or anything."
Though he is now three points behind in the title fight Rosberg says the championship standings do not bother him at this stage of the season if it remains close.
"I'm not too focused on that, of course I'd rather be in front that behind. It's very, very close and there's still a long way to go and I'm just focused on this weekend and looking forward to it. I know I have a fantastic car at the moment and I expect the car to be very quick here in Monaco."
