Lewis Hamilton has parted company with agent Simon Fuller's management company XIX Entertainment in order to manage his own affairs.

The Daily Mail reports Hamilton has split with Fuller, with whom he started work in 2011, and will assess how to progress with his management after the conclusion of the current title battle. Hamilton turned to Fuller after breaking off from his father and the agent played a key role in the deal which saw Hamilton leave McLaren for Mercedes in 2013.

Hamilton was named the world's most marketable athlete in May and is frequently named amongst the best-paid sports stars in the world.

An unnamed source told the Daily Mail: "Lewis is concentrating on the world championship for now and will assess how to progress with his management around New Year. He has been muttering for a year or so about changing his relationship with Fuller. He wants to stand on his own two feet - and cut down on commission fees."

Hamilton is thought unlikely to seek a professional reunion with his father, despite his recent presence at race in Italy and Singapore.
