Schumacher criticises tyres, Pirelli responds

Ross Brawn says that the key to a successful race weekend is predicting the best setup ahead of each grand prix.
Michael Schumacher has been vocal in his criticism of the Pirelli tyres which make strategy central to races this season, while on the other hand Nico Rosberg believes the tyres "couldn't be better for Formula One". With Parc Ferme rules preventing teams from making setup changes after qualifying, Brawn says the key is predicting what will happen on race day, even if that means setting the car up to the detriment of its one-lap pace.
"We can't modify the setup between qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday," Brawn is quoted by O Estado de S.Paulo. "And they are very different challenges, especially with this year's tyres. It's one thing to get the car to be fast on one lap and quite another to make it fast and consistent over 70.
"Whoever can anticipate what will be required for the race and come to a compromise - maybe to the detriment of grid position - should have a decisive advantage in the race. But it's not easy to anticipate what happens on Sunday."
