Mayweather is in decline - Mosley
Floyd Mayweather Jnr is a declining force who has not fought enough high-calibre opponents to be declared the world's best pound-for-pound fighter, according to Shane Mosley.
Mosley faces Mayweather Jnr at the MGM Grand on May 2nd in one of the most eagerly-anticipated fights of recent times. Both men have, at one time or another, been talked about as the planet's finest pugilist.
Although Mosley has been defeated in three of his past ten fights, he was hugely impressive when dismantling the Mexican Antonio Margarito in his last contest - a return-to-form that provoked the undefeated Mayweather into accepting his challenge.
Ahead of their bout, Mosley has hinted that his opponent's perfect record - which has prompted commentators to declare Mayweather Jnr the pound-for-pound king - has been padded out against some inadequate opponents. He is also insisting that he is confident of exploiting the flaws that he has perceived in the 33-year-old.
"I see where he has slipped and I see some things where his body is beginning to go. But he doesn't see that," Mosley said. "He brings a lot of mouth and we'll see what this mouth is about. He had to fight somebody if he wanted to be considered the best."
