Great Britain's Andy Turner produced one of the results of the day at the FBK Games, winning the men's 110m hurdles in the Netherlands.

Turner, who recently won the Great City Games in Manchester, continued his excellent form by edging out Jamaica's Dwight Tomas and the United States' Ty Akins. The winning time was clocked at 13.34, with Olympic champion Dayron Robles falling at the last hurdle.

Meanwhile, in the high jump, UK indoor champion Samson Oni claimed the biggest victory of his career, beating world champion Yaroslav Rybakov. Oni defeated the Russian on countback with a clearance of 2.24m to record arguably the big shock of the day.

There was some disappointment for Great Britain though, who saw Christine Ohuruogu finish third in the women's 200m. America's Debbie Dunn and the Cayman Islands' Cydonie Mothersill took first and second respectively.

And there was further frustration in the shape of Jenny Meadows in the women's 800m. Meadows could only manage sixth place after coming home over a second behind Kenyan winner Janeth Jepkosgei.

Elsewhere, the men's 100m went to form with Churandy Martina clocking 10.15 seconds to win a slow race ahead of Jamaica's Mario Forsythe. Trell Kimmons of the US was third.

The women's event went to America's Carmelita Jeter, who produced a fine run to see off Bahamian Debbie Ferguson. Chandra Sturrup was third behind a winning time of 11.16.
