Khan given all clear after malaria scare

Amir Khan has been discharged from hospital after fears he had caught malaria during a recent holiday.
The WBA light-welterweight champion was taken to Beaumont hospital on Sunday evening after amid fears he had contracted the disease during a trip to Egypt and South Africa for the World Cup finals.
Khan spent an evening under observation at the hospital after being admitted with a high temperature but the boxer's father, Shah Khan, has eased concerns regarding his son's health.
"Amir came home from South Africa feeling weak and by Sunday his temperature had risen quite high," Khan said. "He didn't collapse or anything like that, but he went to the Beaumont Hospital in Bolton.
"They kept him in for tests but they all came back fine and he came home this morning.
"He has been told to get some rest but he will be fine to go to Las Vegas later this month to watch Juan Manuel Marquez fight Juan Diaz."
The 23-year-old, who is hoping to get a shot at the winner of that fight, has been out of action since stopping former IBF light welterweight champion Pauilie Malignaggi in New York on May 15.
