Froch to fight Abraham in Monaco

Carl Froch will look to get his Super Six campaign back on track when he fights Arthur Abraham in Monaco on October 2.
'The Cobra', who suffered his first defeat at the hands of Mikkel Kessler in April, had originally threatened to quit the tournament if the bout was not going to be held in Britain.
But the 33-year-old made a U-turn and although he insisted he would not be travelling to Germany to face German-Armenian Abraham, he agreed for the clash to take place at a neutral venue.
Following weeks of intense negotiations between Hennessy Sports, who represent Froch, and Sauerland Event, the company who promotes Abraham, the Nottingham fighter got his wish as the Chapiteau de l'Espace Fontvieille was chosen as the location for the match-up.
"I'm training hard already for King Arthur," said Froch.
"I respect what the man brings to the table but I'm going out there to knock off Abraham's crown. Make no mistake about it, I fully appreciate the threat that Abraham presents to me in this fight. Whenever two warriors go into battle there will be bloodshed. But there will be only one victor in Monaco and that will be The Cobra."
Abraham also lost for the first time in his career when he was outfought and eventually disqualified against the speedy American Andre Dirrell but 'King Arthur' is ready to avenge that defeat.
"I cannot wait to get back in the ring. I am thrilled that the date and the venue have been set," he said.
"I must admit that the disqualification against Dirrell still haunts me. Only a victory over Froch can put my mind at rest."
