Haye backs Hatton's ring return

David Haye has lent his support to Ricky Hatton following his decision to return to boxing later this year.
Hatton's announcement was met with a mixed reception, with some suggesting the Hitman should retire following his savage beating at the hands of Manny Pacquiao last May. The Mancunian's former promoter Frank Warren was widely critical of Hatton's decision, but Haye says he will be at ringside for his return.
"I think it's great Ricky has decided to make a comeback," Haye told the Manchester Evening News. "Whatever he feels he needs to do I will support him 100 per cent. If he wanted to retire I would support that, too.
"If he feels he still has something to give then why not? You can be sure that whenever he fights Ricky is going to draw a big crowd.
"He will give a good night's entertainment and the one thing he can count on is me being ringside for that fight."
