Former Crusaders and Hurricanes Super Rugby player Tone Kopelani is among 76 constables to have graduated from the New Zealand Police College, saying "rugby took over my life for about 11 years". "But I've always wanted to be a police officer," Kopelani told Fairfax Media in New Zealand. "To be able to make a positive change in someone's life is what I am most looking forward to." The former hooker originally played rugby league, for Penrith Panthers and the Junior Kiwis, before taking up rugby union. He played for the Junior All Blacks in 1997 before heading overseas to play with French clubs CS Bourgoin-Jallieu and Grenoble. He returned to New Zealand in 2012 and signed with ITM Cup team Northland. © ESPN Sports Media Ltd
