Red Bull will have to struggle through the second day of testing at Jerez without a front wing on its car after the only one in Jerez was damaged when Daniil Kvyat went off the track.

The team is flying out a replacement as soon as possible, but team principal Christian Horner is not sure it will arrive in time to be fitted before the end of the day.

"Unfortunately Daniil had a very slight off on an install lap this morning on a cold track, was just changing something on the steering wheel, and between turns two and three just very lightly touched the tyre wall with the front wing," he said.

"It's the only front wing assembly we have in Jerez at the moment, which is relatively usual for this time of year when you're not abundant with spare parts. That's why we are running without the main plane at the moment. Obviously more components are coming down this afternoon, this evening and during the next few days."

Asked when a new one would be on the car, he said: "Certainly by tomorrow morning. Today is difficult to say at the moment, it's a work in progress."

Red Bull sent him on track without one, but meaningful running will be significantly limited.

"What I should really be telling you is that we have so much front downforce that we don't need the wing to balance the car," Horner joked.
