Just when you think you couldn't be any more jealous of an F1 driver, Red Bull flies Daniel Ricciardo out to Sicily to drive the legendary Targa Florio race track in a 1972 Alfa Romeo 33/TT/3.

The dream holiday was arranged for Ricciardo over the winter for a feature in Red Bull's in-house magazine the Red Bulletin. Tracing his family roots, Ricciardo flew to Sicily to have a go in the Alfa that his Red Bull boss Helmut Marko guided to second place alongside co-driver Nanni Galli at the 1972 running of the Targa Florio. It is of special historical significance as Marko set the lap record during that race with a 33m41s lap as he chased down race leader and eventual winner Arturo Merzario.

It's no surprise then that Ricciardo's trademark smile features in most of the promotional pictures from the trip and he is now tracking down a historic racing car of his own.
