Horner would consider team orders in fight for title
Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner says his team would consider using team orders themselves after Ferrari avoided further punishment following Wednesday's FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) hearing in Paris.
Ferrari escaped with only a $100,000 fine plus the FIA's court costs for the disciplinary hearing although the team appeared to fix the result of the German Grand Prix.
With no further clarity on the team orders rule forthcoming, Horner suggested at Monza that there was nothing to prevent other teams from doing likewise.
"I think everyone in Formula One, certainly the top three teams, will have to consider it," said Horner, who added that with the title race set to come down to the final few races, he would have preferred a more concrete ruling earlier in the season.
"I wish we had known before Istanbul! Ferrari said they would look idiots if they lost the title by five points. But if we end up losing the title by five points, after allowing Mark and Sebastian to race, then we are going to look like idiots."
Horner's comments will come as music to the ears of Mark Webber, who leads team-mate Sebastian Vettel by 28 points in the drivers' standings.
