Sebastien Buemi will drive a Red Bull Formula One car on ice at a demonstration in Montreal.

The event is being held to celebrate the return of the Canadian Grand Prix in 2010, after it was left off last season's calendar. Buemi will negotiate a special 2.5 mile layout on the frozen waters of the Olympic Basin, located at Parc Jean-Drapeau behind the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The track will consist of straights, corners and open areas where he will show off a specially adapted car.

He won't be the first man to take an F1 car on ice. Nick Heidfeld went for a spin on a frozen lake in Switzerland in 2007 driving a BMW Sauber with studded tyres.
