Renault confident of holding on to Kubica
Renault boss Eric Boullier is confident Robert Kubica will not switch to a rival team at the end of 2010.
Amid rumours linking Kubica with a move to Ferrari in 2011, and his standout performance in Monaco, Renault team owner Gerard Lopez said last weekend that he has an opportunity to have "a team built around him" if he stays.
In Monaco Boullier told Autosport: "For him, he is working very well with the team and likes the team spirit as well. I think the new packages we plan to bring and the ambitions we have for the future, everything looks very positive. We have kept him very informed, and I am pretty sure it is enough to make him happy to stay."
However, it has been reported that Kubica has signed an "option" with Ferrari regarding the 2011 season. Subsequent reports said he will be free to sign with the Maranello-based team if Renault is not at least fourth in the constructors' world championship by July 15.
Renault is currently fifth, 13 points behind Mercedes.
