Wales have reported another injury concern prior to the Six Nations, with Dragons No.8 Toby Faletau carrying an ankle problem.

The 20-year-old is one of five uncapped players in Warren Gatland's squad for the tournament, which begins with a Friday-night clash against England on February 4.

Faletau picked up a knock in the Dragons' 23-16 Heineken Cup loss to Glasgow at Rodney Parade on Sunday and is now set to undergo a scan to determine the severity of the problem.

Wasps back-rower Andy Powell and versatile Ospreys forward Jonathan Thomas are the other recognised No.8s in the squad, with former skipper Ryan Jones included as a second-row option.

"Unfortunately he picked up an ankle injury on Sunday and we're sending him for a scan," Gatland told BBC Sport.

Wales have already lost props Adam Jones and Gethin Jenkins to injury while midfield regulars Tom Shanklin and Andrew Bishop have been joined on the sidelines by Saracens' Gavin Henson.
