The battle lines for the new Super 14 campaign have been drawn with the confirmation of the complete fixture list.

The opening round of action will see defending champions The Bulls travel to Bloemfontein to take on the Cheetahs while last year's beaten finalists The Chiefs will kick off their campaign in Durban against The Sharks.

The new season will kick off in Auckland with The Blues playing host to the Hurricanes and the opening day will also see the Western Force welcoming the Brumbies to the ME Stadium for the first Super Rugby fixture at the venue.

In the round's other games, the Crusaders face the Highlanders in Christchurch, the Reds clash with the Waratahs in Brisbane and the Lions and Stormers go head-to-head in Johannesburg.

The 16-week competition will culminate with the semi-finals on the weekend of May 21/22 and the final a week later on May 29.

The 2010 season will be the last for Super rugby in its current format as it is schedule to expand to 15 teams and a three- conference system the following year.
