Julien Laharrague scored a late drop goal to hand Aironi a dramatic 28-27 victory over Biarritz in Pool 4 of the Heineken Cup. On paper it looked a straightforward case of top against bottom but Aironi ripped up the script, keeping pace with their opponents throughout before stealing the points two minutes from time in an entertaining clash at the Stadio Luigi Zaffanella. After an early penalty from Tito Tebaldi - the first of four successful kicks from him, Biarritz earned a penalty try and a second score from winger Takudzwa Ngwenya. The crowd continued to be entertained, with former England winger Iain Balshaw and Charles Gimenez crossing for Biarritz. But James Marshall, Nick Williams and Matteo Pratichetti all touched down for the hosts. Biarritz scrum-half Dimitri Yachvili slotted two conversions and a penalty as the visitors looked to have secured a slender win. But Laharrague turned the match on its head with his last-gasp drop goal that sealed a shock win for the Italian side. © ESPN Sports Media Ltd.
