Trump handed walkover into second round

Judd Trump has been handed a walkover victory into the last 64 of the UK Championship after Chinese first-round opponent Rouzi Maimaiti had visa issues while attempting to travel to England.
Bristolian Trump, who won the tournament in 2011, will now open his campaign against the winner of Aditya Mehta and Alex Davies on Saturday.
During the tournament's opening session at the Barbican Centre in York on Tuesday, 2006 world champion Graeme Dott cruised to a 6-2 win over 18-year-old Swiss Alexander Ursenbacher, while Peter Ebdon a winner in York eight years ago, scraped past Ross Muir 6-5. Barry Hawkins thrashed Ashley Carty 6-1.
In the evening session, Stuart Bingham, who won the Shanghai Masters in September, recorded one of just two walkover victories on day one as he eased to a 6-0 win over Thai 20-year-old Thanawat Thirapongpaiboon
Last year's champion Neil Robertson, who revealed that he had become vegan ahead of his title defence, opens his account against Joe O'Connor in Wednesday's evening session.
