Bayonne's 28-23 victory at struggling Bourgoin on Sunday saw the Basque side cement their position at the summit of the Top 14 table but it was bittersweet for former Bourgoin fly-half Benjamin Boyet, who contributed 13 points towards his new team's win.

Boyet spent 13 seasons with Les Berjalliens but was less than impressed with the behaviour of some of the home crowd.

"I heard whistles [from the crowd] from the kick-off at the start of the match," he told Midi Olympique. "This type of behaviour saddens me. It proves that some people have difficulty understanding why you have to leave a club at a particular point in your career.

"That said I don't want to give importance to these types of people who pat you on the back when you're in their camp and then shoot you in the back when you leave."

Perpignan hooker Guilhem Guirado has admitted his 'disgust' after their disappointing 23-23 draw at Agen. The 2009 champions led 20-0 at half time before Agen changed the complexion of the match with three tries after the break.

"When you finish a match like that, you have to be disgusted," Guirado told l'independent. "That second half was terrible. Letting go two points like that, it was crap."

Meanwhile Castres continued their good early season form to bring Racing Metro back down to earth with a 31-25 victory at Stade Pierre Antoine, although Castres coach Laurent Labit was far from impressed with his side's second half mini-collapse which brought the Parisians back into the game.

"We made far too many mistakes," he told La Depeche du Midi. "We failed to close out the match quickly enough. At 28-12, the match should have been over but we conceded a try which kept them in the game."
