'Slow' Murray admits to bad day

Andy Murray was inclined to put his defeat to Kevin Anderson in the Rogers Cup down to a bad day at the office.
The Brit threw in one of his worst performances of the season, slipping to a 6-3 6-1 defeat, and it cost him a host of ranking points after winning the event 12 months ago.
Murray headed to Montreal in bullish mood, claiming he felt fantastic after tinkering with his diet and preparation, but he looked laboured on court as he was overwhelmed by the big-serving South African.
And after trudging off court, Murray felt things did not click on the day.
"Sometimes you can make mistakes with your preparation, but I've done pretty similar stuff to what I've always done coming in here," Murray said. "It's just a really bad day. It's happened to me a couple times this year and also last year, as well.
"I just felt very slow. Today I couldn't get anything going. I started both sets really, really badly which doesn't help against someone that serves like Kevin. Every time he came to the net, I was a bit late getting to the ball. I was getting behind very early in all of the rallies and didn't move particularly well."
