Tsonga determined to secure London spot

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has set his sights on qualifying for the ATP World Tour Finals in London after ending his two-year title drought.
The Frenchman claimed his first silverware since his win in Tokyo in October 2009, beating Ivan Ljubicic 6-3 6-7(4) 6-3 to lift the trophy in front of his home fans at the Moselle Open in Metz.
The victory sees Tsonga move up to seventh in the world rankings, boosting his chances of securing his place at the showdown between the world's top eight players in London.
With the world's top four players Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray having already secured qualification, there are just four more places up for grabs. And Tsonga is determined to make sure he books his spot, having been forced to watch from the sidelines in 2009 as first alternative after narrowly missing out on qualification.
"It was a long time since I lifted a trophy and I am happy I was able to do here in Metz, in front of the French public," Tsonga said after his victory. "My goal for the season is to qualify for London, I was there two years ago and I didn't play. I hope this time I will be able to play."
