Janko Tipsarevic knows he cannot afford to slip up in his quest to qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals in London.

Less than a month after winning his maiden ATP Tour title in Malaysia, Tipsarevic bagged his second at the Kremlin Cup to keep his faint chances of qualifying for the year-end championship alive. Fresh from his victory in Moscow, Tipsarevic now heads to St Petersburg looking to give his ranking points another boost.

His victory over fellow Serb Viktor Troicki saw him move back up to 13th in the rankings, and he knows that every point is crucial as he looks to overhaul the likes of Mardy Fish and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the race for London.

"Every single point counts for London now," Tipsarevic said. "It is going to be really hard but not impossible. If I don't qualify for London, then my next goal would be to finish in the top 10."

But while Tipsarevic is furiously chasing ranking points, Stockholm Open champion Gael Monfils insists he is not thinking about London.

Monfils, who needed three sets to see off Jarkko Nieminen 7-5 3-6 6-2, bagged his first title of the season with victory in Sweden, and with it 250 ranking points to give himself a faint chance of qualifying for the finals. But Monfils, who has finished runner-up at the Paris Masters for the last two years, is hoping to go one better at his home event.

"Honestly, my goal is to do well again in Bercy," Monfils said. "I'm not looking at London at all. I'm off next week, I think it will be good for my body. But I want to build for Paris. Maybe I can also play well in Valencia (the week before Bercy). But my ultimate goal for this season is to win in Bercy."
