Petkovic pulls out of Australian Open

The women's draw at the Australian Open has suffered another setback with the news Andrea Petkovic has been forced to withdraw.
The No. 10 seed picked up an injury during her defeat to Agnieszka Radwanska at the Sydney International, for which she required a medical timeout, and tests have revealed a stress fracture in her back.
"Sorry to anounce that I had to withdraw from the Australian Open with a lower back stress fracture," Petkovic wrote on Twitter. "Going back home, will miss my Aussie fans."
The 24-year-old was viewed as one of the leading fancies for the event following her impressive displays in 2011 when she reached the quarter finals of the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon.
Petkovic joins Venus Williams on the sidelines following the American's withdrawal on Monday due to health reasons.
