Murray to face coach Lendl at Queen's

Andy Murray will take on his own coach Ivan Lendl in a charity doubles match at this year's AEGON Championships at Queen's.

US Open champion Murray, a two-time winner at the Wimbledon warm-up event, will partner former British No. 1 Tim Henman in the doubles match, with Lendl - who also won twice at Queen's, in 1989 and 1990 - partnering Czech compatriot Tomas Berdych.

The 'Rally Against Cancer' will raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, the principal supporter of the Royal Marsden Hospital where Murray's friend and Davis Cup team-mate Ross Hutchins is being treated for Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Eight-time grand slam champion Lendl, who was invited by Hutchins to play at the event, said: "I am delighted to be playing in the Rally Against Cancer event on the brilliant centre court at the Queen's Club.

"The event is for a great cause - the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity - and I'm very excited to be playing on a grasscourt for the first time in 20 years.

"To be able to play with Andy, Tim and Tomas will be a joy for me and I look forward to the match.

"I have got to know Ross well over the past couple of years and have known his family for a long time. I am right behind him and everyone in similar situations to him."

The LTA has pledged to donate £10 for every ace hit during the week-long tournament to the charity, along with £10 from each finals day ticket.

World No. 2 Murray heads the field for the AEGON Championships, with Berdych, Juan Martin Del Potro and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga also returning to the tournament.
