Henin through to Stuttgart final

Justine Henin took little over an hour to book her place in the Porsche Grand Prix final with a 6-3 6-2 win over Israel's Shahar Peer.
Depite struggling with her first serve, Henin dominated from the back of the court and overcame her tenacious opponent in ruthless fashion. The Belgian, who broke a finger on her left-hand last week, looked mobile and powerful as she swept a string of accurate backhands past a hapless Peer.
Peer, playing in her first ever WTA Tour semi-final, recovered from an early service break to level at 2-2, but could do little to prevent two further breaks by a confident-looking Henin. Henin wrapped up the first-set with a sweetly-struck forehand down the line and the world No. 24 used the same shot to secure a 2-0 lead in the second.
The style and substance of Henin's play has always been her strong suit and a beautifully-crafted drop shot in the fourth game of the second set set up a second break and a comfortable and deserved passage to the final.
Henin will meet Sam Stosur in the final after the Australian survived a determined perfomance by giantkiller Anna Lapushchenkova. The world No. 138, who is enjoying an impressive run in Stuttgart after claiming the scalp of Victoria Azarenka and Lucie Safarova, twice took the lead but was pegged back on both occasions by the former doubles specialist.
Stosur, who won her first title of the year at the Family Circle Cup in Charleston a fortnight ago, will take on Henin for the first time after booking her place in a second consecutive final with a 7-5 6-3 victory. The world No. 10 twice had to come from behind as her Russian opponent stole an early break in each set, but Stosur capitalised on the weakness of the Russian's serve to close out the match in an hour and 20 minutes.
"I am really looking forward to playing her," Stosur said. "I have never played her before so it will be something new for both of us. She has been very dominant on clay in the last five or six years before she stopped so it will be a tough match but I am looking forward to it."
Meanwhile, at the Grand Prix de SAR in Morocco, Iveta Benesova claimed her second career WTA title with a 6-4 6-2 victory over Simona Halep.
