Murray not fazed by nightmare Wimbledon scenario

Andy Murray is not concerned by the prospect of a nightmare Wimbledon draw that could pitch him against Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

Murray is to be seeded two when the draw is made on Friday, while the focus is set to be on the slot Nadal is handed in the seedings.

The Spaniard bagged an eighth French Open title earlier in June, but he slipped down a place to five in the world rankings. The All England Club have the ability to tinker with the seedings to hand weight to past performances at Wimbledon, but the vibes are suggesting Nadal - a two time winner at SW19 - will be left at No. 5.

Should that be the case, there is the prospect of Murray having to defeat a trio of players who have 35 grand slam titles between them if he is to get his hands on the Wimbledon title.

"I know there will be a lot of interest in the draw this year as Rafael Nadal looks like being seeded fifth, but as a player you can't get too obsessed about the draw," Murray wrote in his column for BBC Sport. "I'd sign up to be in the quarter-finals against Rafa tomorrow if someone offered me that.

"You could say if I get through that match then the semi-final might not be as tough, but if you want to win the biggest tournaments you have to beat the best players in the world. It doesn't really matter where they are in the draw."
