Defending champion Serena Williams flexed her muscles ahead of a fourth-round match-up against 2004 winner Maria Sharapova with a 6-0 7-5 victory over Dominika Cibulkova.
The top seed stormed out of the blocks, seizing the opening set in just 18 minutes. But just as it looked like a double bagel may be on the cards, Cibulkova, a semi-finalist at the French Open last year, finally found her feet and secured a service game.
The Slovakian refused to roll over and endured the Williams onslaught, saving match point at 5-4 before eventually succumbing in her next service game.
It was Williams' 10th consecutive victory at the All England Club, and the four-time champion will now meet Sharapova after the Russian showed impressive patience to beat Barbora Zahlavova Strycova.
Sharapova, on the comeback from surgery on her shoulder last year, served six double faults and made 35 unforced errors, but nevertheless was too powerful for her Czech opponent. The Russian showed strength of character to fight back from a break down in the first before chalking up a solid if unspectacular 7-5 6-3 victory.
Third seed Caroline Wozniacki survived a tough test against Russian No. 29 seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova to progress into the last-16.
The world No. 4 was far from her best, but overpowered her 18-year-old opponent to wrap up a 7-5 6-4 victory. Wozniacki, who fell in the fourth round to Sabine Lisicki last year, will now face Czech Petra Kvitova after the world No. 62 stunned 14th seed Victoria Azarenka. The Belarusian served for the opening set at 5-4, but failed to win another game as she collapsed to a 7-5 6-0 defeat.
Seventh seed Agnieszka Radwanska was made to work hard for victory by Italy's Sara Errani. The Pole, who has reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon in her last two appearances at the All England Club, recovered from a slow start to grind out a 6-3 6-1 victory. Radwanska was forced to save five break points in the opening set, including three in her first service game before pulling away to book her place in the fourth round.
Radwanska will now meet Chinese No. 1 Na Li in the fourth round after the ninth seed beat Anne Keothavong's conqueror Anastasia Rodionova 6-1 6-3. Li, a semi-finalist at the Australian Open in January, offset her shaky first serve with clean strokes and hit just seven unforced errors.
