Murray pulls out of Marseille

British No. 1 Andy Murray has pulled out of next week's Open 13 tournament in Marseille.

The world No. 3 was due to return to action following his Australian Open final defeat at the ATP Tour 250 tournament, starting on Monday, but has withdrawn in order to focus on the Dubai Championships which begin on February 22.

A statement on Murray's website read: "After playing in Australia for five weeks, Andy has taken an extra week off to recuperate and recover for the long season ahead.

Murray's withdrawal will come as another blow to tournament organisers, after world No. 5 Juan Martin del Potro pulled out of the event with a wrist injury.
