Fulham and Blackburn see Osvaldo bids snubbed

Espanyol have rejected offers from Blackburn Rovers and Fulham for forward Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.
The Spanish club's director Ramon Planes revealed that the 25-year-old, who holds dual Italian and Argentine nationality, has attracted offers from the Premier League, but insists the former Fiorentina striker is not for sale in January.
"I've received two bids for him from Fulham and Blackburn but for us, he's a player not for sale," Planes told calciomercato.it.
Osvaldo's team-mate, highly-rated defender Victor Ruiz, has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City or Tottenham during the transfer window, but Planes claims not to have heard anything from either club. He knows there is interest in the 21-year-old across Europe, however, and acknowledges the club might be forced to sell if an irresistable offer comes in.
"I don't know about Manchester City's or Tottenham's interest in Victor Ruiz," Planes said. "I know the guy is very popular in Italy and Germany, he's a player who we like very much and would like to keep him until the end of the season. However, if a sizeable offer was made for the player, we know that we would have to evaluate it."
