Andy Murray is convinced he will get his hands on a grand slam title, with the Brit full of confidence once again after a slump in form earlier in the season.

Murray made it through to the final of the Australian Open at the start of 2011, but was destroyed by Novak Djokovic and the defeat led to an alarming dip in form.

The Scot split from his part-time coach Alex Corretja at the end of March and has so far failed to appoint a replacement, although he has been seen working with Darren Cahill in the build up to the Madrid Masters.

The French Open is the next grand slam on the agenda and although it is not a surface Murray favours, he will head to the clay of Paris later in May high on confidence.

"I feel great again," Murray said ahead of his first-round clash with Gilles Simon at the Madrid Masters. "I feel like I can win a grand slam and I feel I will win one; I have trained very hard to give myself the chance to do that.

"Whether people are talking about me or not, it is not really important. I believe in myself and the guys I work with and I am sure I will get there."

There was little movement in the top ten in the men's rankings, with Nicolas Almagro climbing one place to nine at the expense of Gael Monfils, while Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has dropped out of the top 20.

Two players on the move back up the charts are Nikolay Davydenko and Juan Martin Del Potro who have climbed 12 and 14 places respectively to 28 and 32.
