The final of the AEGON Championships between Andy Murray and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will now be played on Monday due to adverse weather.

The match at Queen's Club had originally been moved forward to noon from a 2.30pm start on Sunday in an attempt to counter a weather forecast for afternoon showers, but morning rain ensured an early start on Sunday was not possible.

Tournament directors waited for a break in the rain to try and get the final underway, but an expected late-afternoon window never materialised and so the two players will come back on Monday for a 12.30pm start.

"It has been a very frustrating day for everyone, particularly our ticket-holders but we will be giving everyone with a ticket [for Sunday] a full refund and an opportunity to buy tickets for the final weekend next year," tournament director Chris Kermode said.

"We still have a fantastic day to look forward to on Monday and the weather forecast looks promising."
