Dan Henderson has confessed he would be willing to negotiate a future title unification bout with UFC light-heavyweight king Jon Jones.

Henderson is currently preparing for a heavyweight encounter with Fedor Emelianenko, set to take place on July 30.

However, the former UFC star's allegiance belongs to the light-heavyweight division, where Henderson is reigning Strikeforce champion.

Crossover between Strikeforce and the UFC has already begun, with welterweight king Nick Diaz awaiting a clash with UFC champion Georges St-Pierre.

The precedent has been set, and if Henderson beats a legend in Emelianenko, questions will begin to be asked about a potential match-up with UFC 205lb ruler Jon Jones.

"It hasn't crossed my mind, really," Henderson told 5thRound. "I'm pretty happy where I am at. I think there's plenty of guys that fight in Strikeforce right now [that I could face].

"I think it would be pretty neat to be involved with, possibly down the road, unifying the title or something like that, but I'm pretty satisfied where I'm at."
