Jon Jones will undoubtedly become UFC heavyweight champion in the future, according brother Arthur Jones.

Jones is preparing for the first defence of his light-heavyweight crown against Rampage Jackson, whom he meets at UFC 135 in September. The youngster then faces further competition in the likes of Lyoto Machida, Rashad Evans and Phil Davis.

However, Jones has already confessed he would like to challenge for the heavyweight belt in the future, admitting "there is no greater honour" in the sport than being heavyweight champion.

A Strikeforce v UFC champion v champion encounter with Dan Henderson could also be on his future agenda after Henderson said he would be fancy the fight, but brother Arthur is predicting his brother will hit the very top.

"I'm telling you, he's going to be a heavyweight champion someday," Arthur was quoted as saying by ESPN.

"Every sport he has ever played throughout high school -- unlike me -- he's always been the captain. He's always been the best on the defense. Always the best on the wrestling team. He is a born leader.

"I was a one-time state champ in wrestling in high school. He was a two-time state champ. He's just a freak child."
