The UFC will return to Canada for a third time in 2011 after it was revealed that Toronto will host UFC 140 in December.

The 20,000-seater Air Canada Centre will host the event on December 10, UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta told ESPN.com.

Toronto held its first UFC event in April, when Canadian welterweight Georges St-Pierre headlined the UFC 129 card, retaining his welterweight belt with a decision victory over Jake Shields.

The event shattered attendance records, drawing a crowd of more than 55,000, more than doubling the previous record.

No fights have been announced for the card.
