Barry compares Jones to Mike Tyson

It is only a matter of time before Jon Jones is brought down to earth by a defeat, according to heavyweight Pat Barry, who sees similarities between Jones and Mike Tyson.

Light-heavyweight champion Jones is being talked of as the UFC's pound-for-pound king after a resounding victory over Rampage Jackson at the weekend.

That triumph appeared to lay the foundations for a prolonged spell of dominance from Jones, but Barry has cautioned against over-hyping the 24-year-old.

"Jon Jones has the Mike Tyson effect, same as Anderson Silva," Barry said, according to USA Today. "Both of those guys are going to lose eventually. It has to happen, everybody's gotta lose. What has to happen, is someone has to get in the ring not afraid of them."

Jones and Barry could find themselves in the same division in the distant future, with talk of the former moving up to heavyweight - but UFC president Dana White has said that Jones must focus on the leading contenders at light-heavyweight for the time being.
