Brad Pickett will find time to party after he defeats Renen Barao at UFC 138, according to team-mate Jason Young.

Pickett finally makes his UFC bow when he steps inside the Octagon on November 5 for the night's co-main event. Acknowledged as a genuine contender in the bantamweight division, Pickett had been set to debut against Miguel Torres back in May, but he was sidelined by a back injury.

The Brit has won 10 of his last 11 MMA bouts, including a dominant decision victory over recent No. 1 contender Demetrious Johnson in April 2010. At UFC 138, Pickett meets an equally in-form force in Brazilian Barao, who has not been beaten in his last 27 outings.

Pickett divides his time between the American Top Team and Team Titan, where he trains alongside fellow Brit Young. The pair will both appear on the LG Arena card in Birmingham, and Young insists all concerns over Pickett's back are a thing of the past.

"Brad's really fit now," Young told ESPN, having taken time out of training to demo new fightwear brand LUTA. "We sparred about a week ago and we did a few rounds together, and he is really buzzing because he hasn't fought for about a year.

"He's got a really tough fight. Barao is something like 27-1. Brad's not a loser though; he's got a point to prove. You can expect an absolute war.

"He'll come out on top and then we'll be partying at the end of the night no matter what."
