Soto steps in to fight McDonald at UFC 139

UFC bantamweight Michael McDonald will now fight Alex Soto at UFC 139 after Johnny Eduardo withdrew due to injury.

Eduardo reported a shoulder problem and was forced to exit the November 19 card, so McDonald will have to adjust to UFC newcomer Soto.

With six victories from seven fights to his name, Soto enters the bout undefeated after his most recent clash with Seiji Akao ended in a draw.

McDonald, at 20 years of age, is one of the most highly-rated youngsters on the UFC roster. He is 3-0 under the Zuffa banner and is on a six-fight win streak.
