Brock Lesnar has ended any suggestion that he will be a smaller man upon his return to the Octagon, revealing he is currently 278lbs ahead of his clash with Alistair Overeem at UFC 141.

Lesnar has been out for a year due to diverticulitis, which forced him to have major surgery to remove 12 inches of his colon.

Rumours began to spread that the former heavyweight champion would no longer boast the enormous frame that previously made him one of the most feared men in the UFC, but a month out from the Overeem fight Lesnar is huge.

"What am I weighing now? I'm about 278 lbs," said the former WWE star. "Sorry for the disappointment.

"I avoided the surgery for as long as I could. It was just a major decision. When you've got to go under the knife and have someone take out our intestines, it's a big deal...

"I'm just trying to build confidence in my standup and be a well-rounded fighter. [My aim is] to come back and win this fight, and to win the UFC heavyweight championship back."
