Terry Etim will finish Edson Barboza on the mat at UFC 142, according to the Brit's wrestling coach Marcelo Brigadeiro.

Etim immediately got booked for a fresh fight after he dispatched Edward Faaloloto in 17 seconds at UFC 138. The victory was Etim's first appearance in 19 months.

Barboza is an extremely difficult test, particularly on home turf in Brazil, and he is currently riding a 9-0 MMA record. Etim's compatriot, Ross Pearson, was defeated in Barboza's last outing although the decision could easily have gone the other way.

The Brazilian undoubtedly relies upon his excellent striking skills, picking up two Fights of the Night awards in his last couple of outings. Brigadeiro predicts another cheque could be on its way to Barboza, but this time it will arrive with the taste of defeat.

"I believe Terry's ground game might be better and that he can finish the fight by using it", Bridadeiro told Tatame.

"Terry's strike power is underestimated... The kid was a European champion of Muay Thai a few times and he's one of the best strikers in England. I guess he'll show it this time".

Etim made over $70,000 for his Submission of the Night victory over Faaloloto, and Brigadeiro can see more big payouts coming his way against Barboza.

"Dana White will write Etim's name on the cheque for the best fight of the night," said the coach. "I'm guessing this fight against Edson will be the fight of the night... Both are really aggressive and have an interesting style."
