Condit v Koscheck confirmed for UFC 143

Carlos Condit and Josh Koscheck is officially on for UFC 143, it was confirmed over the weekend.

UFC president Dana White had revealed at the UFC 138 post-event press conference in England that the pair were on collision course, with bout agreements still be signed.

Now the fight is official, meaning Condit must get through one of the welterweight division's most experienced campaigners in order to rebook a title shot.

The pair will go toe-to-toe on the same night Georges St-Pierre defends his belt against Nick Diaz, so a Condit victory would guarantee him the next crack. A win for Koscheck is less likely to set up a third meeting with the champion (if St-Pierre beats Diaz), having already lost to the Canadian twice.

UFC 143 takes place on February 4.
