Alistair Overeem has promised fans he will not need to be pulled from UFC 141, insisting he has never failed a drugs test in his life.

Doubts emerged over the heavyweight's participation in the December 30 showdown with Brock Lesnar after Overeem had to attend a Nevada State Athletic Commission hearing. The former Strikeforce man had failed to supply a State-mandated drug test, sparking rumours of illegal substance use.

The NASC has since offered Overeem a conditional fight licence, which demands that he completes a test over the next 72 hours. He must also complete two further random examinations in the next six months.

Overeem is adamant he has committed no crime though, insisting he will have no problems coming through his test in London.

"I'll be tested four times in three weeks this month, so after this, there cannot be any more doubts," Overeem said, according to Yahoo Sports. "The thing is, I've fought in the States before and every time I got tested, I've never tested positive.

"So I don't know where all [the speculation about steroid use] is coming from. I'm too focused on my career, and I don't really pay attention to these messages.

"I cannot judge other fighters, though of course sometimes you have your suspicions," Overeem said. "Do I think testing should be [done] more [frequently]? Yes, I do think it should be done more, but I think it should be applied to all athletes and not just a randomly select few."
