Overeem has one eye on Dos Santos

Alistair Overeem has been at pains to stress he is fully focused on Brock Lesnar, but has conceded he has one eye on UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos.

Lesnar and Overeem will lock horns at UFC 141 on December 30, in what is an eliminator for the right to face Dos Santos.

Lesnar has spoken confidently about dominating Overeem, claiming he will not allow the fight to go five rounds, but his opponent is unfazed about the posturing and is confidently looking beyond Lesnar.

"It's a great opportunity to fight for the title after this," Overeem said during a conference call on Monday. " [But] you shouldn't overlook your opponent. If I do dwell on the prospect a little bit, I think style-wise, Dos Santos and me is going to be an excellent fight, striker versus striker.

"I think with my experience, I should have the upper hand. I have to say he's very dangerous with his hands. He's got a knockout in both hands. He's clever. He's fast. But I'm looking forward to fighting him after Brock."
